“Damara Massage” is a specialist mother and baby centre in Sydney’s Innerwest.

Damara Massage provides a broad range of services specialising in supporting clients throughout the various stages of their pregnancy and parenting journey.

Massage during pregnancy can address the various physical challenges that often cause discomfort, stress, and anxiety. It can act as an overall tonic and increase the expectant mother’s body awareness. In the post natal period it will help her recover strength and ease muscular tension. Infant Massage offers a wonderful opportunity to enhance the bond between parents and their babies. It can help babies settle and sleep better, reduce crying and relieve problems such as wind, colic, constipation and reflux.

We offer pregnancy massage, labour preparation massage, postnatal massage and massage to support fertility.

Damara Massage also provides private training sessions for expectant mums and their partners to prepare partners to support mum during labour with massage and other techniques.

New parents and their infant children also learn from our private or group infant massage classes.

Damara Massage’s qualified and knowledgeable practitioners provide you and your baby nurturing and supportive care in a safe and comfortable environment.

Babies are always welcome in the clinic as they generally sleep peacefully while mum gets her massage. Should your baby need attention during your treatment, our practitioners are experienced in meeting their needs along with yours.

You can visit the clinic or arrange a home visit. We will happily visit you in hospital as well.

We also provide massage to all clients for general well being.

Testimonials

  • I was referred to Damara Massage by my physio when I was pregnant with my first child and found out that I had pubis symphisitis, a pelvic condition caused by pregnancy resulting in instability in my pelvis. I have now had my third child and have continued to see Cath at Damara throughout all of my pregnancies. Cath was the first person that was able to not only address all of my pain points, but also make me completely switch off and relax during the massage. Having a stressful job whilst also juggling the demands of having a young family, my regular attendance at Damara has been crucial to maintaining both my physical and mental wellbeing. Over the years I have referred many other satisfied customers to Damara both for remedial and pregnancy massages, and I would be lost without Cath!
    Andrea,
  • Cath is just amazing and I’m so happy I found her when I was pregnant for all the back & pubic pain I was experiencing. I searched all over Sydney but couldn’t find a good massage therapist that truly specialised in pregnancy. She also focuses on post natal recovery & does home visits which was ideal after birth. She has a gentle but very effective approach with the ability to undo tension with little pain. Though I no longer live in the area, I still continue to go back and see Cath regularly even after my pregnancy & recovery. I would highly recommend Cath to anyone.
    Linda,
  • I saw Cath on a monthly basis throughout my whole pregnancy and it was honestly the best thing I could have done. Cath is so experienced and knowledgeable in pregnancy massage (and all things pregnancy) and she is extremely intuitive and gives all her energy when she massages. The room is quiet the massage table setup is so supportive to the pregnant body, the music and the oils make for a divine experience. The massages were a truly relaxing way to switch off from everything and alleviate the physical challenges of pregnancy. There was not one massage I didn’t drift off to sleep in. If you see anyone for a pregnancy massage make it Cath - you won’t be disappointed.
    Lisa L.,
  • Thank you Dee, for all of the prenatal massages to help relax me and keep my back pains in line. Thank you Cath, for the acupressure tips and labour prep massages that gave me a mental break during those last three stress-filled weeks. And thank you BOTH for lending an ear when I needed to work through the crazy emotions that come with pregnancy and labour anticipation.
