Preparation for Pregnancy

A focus on optimal health for prospective parents offers the best outcomes for your conception, pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period. It is important to take into account your whole being and look at your symptoms within the context of your life.

Holistic Massage helps alleviate many of the problems that you often just put up with – tight muscles, not being as flexible as you were, tightness in your neck and shoulders, musculo-skeletal aches and pains, stiff joints, feeling stressed, anxious, feeling tired, low in energy.

Therapeutic Remedial Massage will aid circulation, ease musculo-skeletal aches and pains, improve flexibility, and create an overall sense of relaxation which will help reduce stress and anxiety. A programme of stretches and exercises will help to maintain these benefits and help improve overall energy levels in your everyday life. A healthy mind and body lay a solid foundation for the best possible outcomes when embarking on your journey to start a family or add to your family.

Massage for Labour

Massage can offer a wonderful support to the labouring woman, whether the partner or a designated support person performs it. Touch is soothing, calming and what connects us.

Throughout pregnancy, it is important for women to focus on increasing leg and pelvic flexibility in preparation for labour. Women need flexibility in order to labour efficiently and comfortably.

NurtureLife® for labour looks at how to best prepare the body to move through the waves of change in labour, while maintaining the mind-body-birth-baby-connection.

NurtureLife® techniques offer a set of specialised skills for the birth partner to easily adapt and utilise with the labouring woman.

Private sessions for couples, or mother-to-be and birth support person, are offered as part of NurtureLife® treatment. These sessions instill confidence in both the pregnant mother and the partner/support person. You can learn different massage techniques for various birthing scenarios.

Sessions are tailored to your needs whether you are a first time mother or already have children.
